Brenda Medina-Maldonado
Senior Officer, Community
Brenda works on the Community Team at Climate United as a Senior Officer. With over five years of experience in the climate sector, she is passionate about creating a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable future for all.
Previously she worked to deploy technical assistance to organizations across the US to ensure they were ready to receive federal funds for their climate projects. This included leading community outreach, deploying grants, managing fellowship programs, and connecting partners to critical resources. She also worked as a Director for a community college program that educated students on daily sustainable actions to reduce their personal carbon footprints.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Spanish and Associate's degrees in Recycling and Resource Management as well as Public Policy with an emphasis on the Environment.
Currently Brenda lives in Los Angeles and enjoys long walks with her fuzzy dog pal Kona.
