Caroline Nowery has over 15 years of experience in community development and nonprofit management. Her areas of expertise include programmatic reporting/compliance, fund development, communication and impact measurement and evaluation.
Before joining VCC, she was head of Richmond’s SBA Women’s Business Center for five years. Her role as Chief Executive of External oversees all elements of brand management and investor and government relations. This department also coordinates internal and external marketing and communications and identifies and manages key measurements of VCCSE impact.
Caroline holds a BA from Roanoke College and has graduated from LEAD Virginia as well as Leadership Metro Richmond. Caroline is the previous past chair of Housing Families First and the Virginia Impact Investing Forum. Caroline currently co-chairs Virginia Funders Network Housing Affinity group and is a member of the Finance Committee for Better Housing Coalition.
