Chris Caines
Director, Community
Chris Caines joined the Climate United team in June 2024 as Director of Community. Previously, he served as Vice President of Economic and Social Justice at the national CDFI Community Reinvestment Fund, USA. Prior to that, Chris was the Executive Director of the FIU Miami Urban Future Initiative, an effort to inform and engage South Florida residents and policymakers around issues of economic inclusion and development. Chris is passionate about finding and creating innovative approaches to support people and communities who have been overlooked and underestimated by structural powers for too long. He lives in Los Angeles with his partner Andrew and has strong opinions about board game design and Neapolitan pizza.
