Michael Yu
Director, Investments
Michael is a Director with Climate United leading on identifying, structuring and executing investment opportunities that catalyze building decarbonization. Michael brings 15 years of experience in impact investing financial structuring, and origination to Climate United.
Prior to joining Climate United, Michael was a Director on the Impact Investment team of NatureVest (The Nature Conservancy) and was responsible for developing nature-based impact investments that generated financial, environmental, and social returns. Additionally, Michael designed and developed innovative clean energy financing solutions with the Connecticut Green Bank. Michael began his career in investment banking where he focused on leveraged buyouts and mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the energy, telecommunications, media, and healthcare sectors.
Michael holds a B.S. in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Environmental Management degree from Duke University. Michael is based in New York City where he spends his free time wrestling with his kids and training for powerlifting competitions.
