Chief Partnership and Strategy Officer

Phil Aroneanu is Chief Partnership and Strategy Officer at Climate United, where he helps lead policy, communications, corporate partnerships and government relations.

Over the course of his 20 year career working on climate and clean energy, he co-founded the international climate advocacy organization 350.org, where he led dozens of efforts, including the campaign against the Keystone XL Tar Sands pipeline, the Fossil Fuel Divestment campaign, and the People’s Climate March. Phil also directed Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign in New York, helped mobilize millions to the streets and the ballot box after the 2016 elections, and directed digital organizing at the American Civil Liberties Union.

More recently, Phil helped launch Dayenu: A Jewish Call to Climate Action, and was a strategic advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy's Solar Energy Technologies Office, where he led the Community Power Accelerator.
